This place saved my life the staff are the best so blessed for Recovering champions

I have been in an out of treatment for the past 5 years, and RCI has given me a sense of hope that I have never felt before. I have been a client of theirs since March and currently still attend at an outpatient level. The majority of the staff are in recovery themselves, making it easier to relate. I will be forever grateful for this facility and all they have offered me.

I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience at Recovering Champions. I truly feel that I have the necessary tools to maintain my sobriety and abstain for future relapses. The facility is clean and the staff are nothing but helpful and caring. The groups were all informative and compelled us to share and engage with our fellow clientele. Medical staff (especially Joanie!) were all educating and helpful about our treatment. Meals were delicious the healthy choices were offered constantly. Off-hour activities were diverse, therapeutic and allowed us a healthy distraction from our recovery program. Accommodations at the Awakenings Lodge were clean and plentiful. Staff (Lynn, Trish, Michael, Tiah etc.) there allowed us to choose from "outside" recovery meetings or inside commitment meetings. The entire process was a positive first step in my recovery and I will be forever grateful for the experience.

When I first started my journey at Recovering Champions back in February, I had been in and out of treatment multiple times and still was unable to get and stay clean. Within the first few hours of being there I had been given a feeling of hope that I had never felt before. It quickly became apparent to me that there was something different about this program. They provided a variety of different groups ranging from spirituality and relapse prevention, to art therapy and team building. I was given the opportunity to take part in activities I had never experienced such as yoga, acupuncture, and horseback riding. Recovering Champions helped me develop a better understanding of a 12 step program of my choosing and the actions I needed to take to give myself the best chance of never having to return to the life I had been living. The most beneficial part of my experience there was by far with the staff members. The majority of the staff had gone through their own journeys with addiction and recovery, and were not hesitant to share their experience, struggles, and successes. Most of them, aside from a few specific individuals, genuinely cared and were willing to do everything in their power to help in any way they could. The clinical team was understanding and willing to hear me out and accommodate the individual needs I had. They helped me with an aftercare plan that was definitely not what I wanted but what I needed and for the first time in my life, I felt like I truly had a say in my treatment. I am currently still a client at RCI on an outpatient level, and 10 months later I am still receiving the support and guidance that I received while inpatient. Recovering Champions was and still is a huge part in my journey and I will forever be grateful for this program and the people involved in it.

I have both professional and personal experience with the staff, treatment model and level of care provided by Recovering Champions. They are first rate. Strong both clinically and creatively. For decades I have lamented the non-existent choice for treatment on Cape Cod. Recovering Champions has been a much needed option for Cape Cod and beyond. As a "long-timer" in recovery I have participated in AA commitments to programs for decades. The level of attentiveness from residents at Awakenings is unparalleled. The staff are top-notch. If you are searching for help for yourself or a loved one, look no further.
